Strathcona County RCMP are asking for the public’s help identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run collision that damaged a parked vehicle in Sherwood Park last month. Police said a white Toyota GR86 was parked on the east side of a parking lot at 390 Baseline Road when it was struck by an unidentified vehicle at about 1:40 p.m. on Sept. 4.
According to RCMP, the collision caused significant damage to the parked sports car. The driver of the other vehicle left the scene without stopping or providing information. Investigators have not released a description of the suspect vehicle and are continuing efforts to determine what vehicle was involved.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have information that could help identify the vehicle or driver, to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact Strathcona County RCMP at 780-467-7741. The investigation remains active as officers work to identify the driver involved in the collision.
