The Edmonton Oilers are expected to dress their established National Hockey League veterans Saturday against the Calgary Flames at Rogers Place for their final preseason game before the regular season. Coach Mike Babcock outlined the plan Tuesday after Edmonton’s 2-1 overtime preseason win over the host Winnipeg Jets.

The Oilers will use a roster made up mostly of hopefuls and prospects Thursday in Vancouver against the Canucks. Saturday’s game is expected to serve as a final dress rehearsal for Edmonton’s season-opening lineup.

Babcock said the focus over the final two exhibition games and next week’s practices is getting “better” and concentrating on the “process and get feeling good about ourselves.” “We’ll worry about where that goes from there,” he told reporters Tuesday morning.

Edmonton opens the regular season next Tuesday against the Canucks at Rogers Place.
