A 35-year-old man was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon when his motorcycle crashed on Anthony Henday Drive in Edmonton, police said. The Edmonton Police Service said he was riding a Harley-Davidson eastbound at about 3:45 p.m. when a dark-coloured SUV reportedly entered the roadway from St. Albert Trail.

Police said they were told the SUV moved into the motorcyclist’s lane. The rider then lost control, and the motorcycle fell onto its side. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The SUV stopped briefly after the crash, then left the scene, according to EPS. Officers are continuing to investigate and have asked anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to contact the Edmonton Police Service at 780-423-4567.
