Global News Edmonton has reported:

Thirteen people were taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 99 in British Columbia on Friday involving a semi-truck and trailer, a bus and several other vehicles. Two people were seriously injured, including one who was airlifted to hospital, Surrey Police Service said late Friday night. The other 11 were hospitalized in stable condition.

The police service had initially said there were no serious injuries. Investigators are still in the early stages of examining the cause, but believe the semi-truck and trailer crossed into oncoming traffic.

The collision shut down traffic on Highway 99 for several hours. BC Emergency Health Services said several ambulances, paramedics and an air ambulance responded.
