CTV News Calgary has reported:

Alberta Health Services issued a boil water advisory Friday for nearly 100 homes in the southwest Calgary neighbourhoods of Eagle Ridge and Heritage Park. The notice came shortly before 7 p.m. after city crews repairing a local water main encountered an “unanticipated depressurization of the pipe” and could not guarantee the water was safe.

The City of Calgary said the issue is not related to the Bearspaw South feeder main. All southbound lanes on 14th Street S.W., between 75 Avenue S.W. and Heritage Drive S.W., are closed until further notice while repairs continue.

Residents in the affected area are advised to bring all tap water to a rolling boil for one full minute before using it. This applies to water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, cleaning raw foods, preparing infant formula and making juices.
