CTV News Calgary has reported:
A 4.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded northeast of Banff, Alta., at 3:46 a.m. MT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The tremor was near Mount Oliver, about 31 kilometres northeast of the mountain community.
There were no reports of damage. By 7 a.m., the USGS had received 10 reports from people who felt the earthquake. Further details are available online.
