CTV News Calgary has reported:

Cooler-than-seasonal weather will continue across southern Alberta on Thursday, followed by a brief warmup Friday and Saturday. Air from a low-pressure system in northwestern Alberta began moving into the region on Wednesday and is expected to remain until an incoming ridge of high pressure from the Pacific basin pushes it out.

Thursday should be mostly clear despite the cooler conditions, with moderate southeast winds. In Calgary, sustained wind speeds are forecast to peak between 20 and 40 km/h. Friday’s daytime high in Calgary is expected to be 10 C warmer than Thursday’s high, with similar warmer temperatures continuing Saturday.

Instability is forecast to develop Saturday afternoon. Precipitation is expected to move east to west over the Rockies, including parts of the southern foothills, bringing another quick drop in temperatures.

More consistent conditions are forecast next week. Calgary’s daytime highs are expected to range from 11 C to 14 C from Monday through Friday, around seasonal norms. The average high in Calgary at this time of year is 13 C.
