CTV News Calgary has reported:

Four men have been charged after Calgary police seized $8.8 million in drugs and cash from homes in Calgary and Cochrane. The Calgary Police Service (CPS) said searches of four Calgary homes and one Cochrane home yielded more than $2 million in Canadian and U.S. currency, along with $6.8 million in drugs.

The accused are Tomas Bahta, 19, Mohammed Ibrahim, 31, and Fozee Ibrahim, 29, all from Calgary, and Aidan Saunders, 29, of Cochrane. Police said the seizure is among the largest in CPS history. The source material did not specify the narcotics seized.

CPS’s drug unit became aware of a home believed to be connected to the drug trade in June 2025 and launched an investigation. Four months later, the investigation led to the identification and arrest of the four men believed to be behind the operation. Police did not provide further details about the charges.

“The volume of drugs seized had the potential to cause immense harm not only to Calgarians, but to communities across our province. Our investigators deserve tremendous credit for taking these drugs off our streets,” CPS Acting Chief Asif Rashid said in a news release. The service also thanked partner agencies for their support in resolving the case.
