CTV News Edmonton has reported:

The City of Edmonton is inviting residents to help shape an update to its residential parking program (RPP), which manages parking in high-demand neighbourhoods through restrictions and permits. The program was established in the 1970s and has remained largely unchanged.

Residents can provide feedback until Nov. 15 through an online public opinion survey, weekly polls and the city’s Curbside Compass. The interactive tool lets users explore parking options, along with their benefits and trade-offs, on a sample street. Residents can also share their views in person at pop-up events.

The city will use public input to develop recommendations for a redesigned RPP. Administration plans to present those recommendations to city council early next year.

Edmonton has 19 RPP zones. Each year, the city issues 4,800 resident permits and 1,200 temporary permits. More information about the program and the public engagement process is available online.
