Slashdot has reported:
Amazon has unveiled two Bee devices designed to record, transcribe and analyse conversations: the $75 Bee Frontier wearable and the $100 Bee Eclipse, which attaches to a smartphone. The company says they can produce conversation summaries, identify recurring themes and suggest actions or purchases. It says audio is not stored and users can delete transcripts and summaries.
The Bee Frontier is an upgraded version of the company’s existing wearable. It can be worn on a wrist or clipped to clothing and offers up to seven days of battery life, as did earlier generations. The new model costs $75, compared with $50 for its predecessor, and is available Thursday.
The Frontier’s two microphones have upgraded noise filtering. Amazon said in a blog post the device can “take note of what matters and ignore what doesn't, even in noisy environments like a crowded restaurant or open office.”
The Bee Eclipse is credit-card-sized and attaches magnetically to the back of a phone rather than being worn. Amazon said it will be available soon. Like other Bee devices, it records, transcribes and analyses conversations.
Amazon acquired Bee, a San Francisco startup known for its always-listening bracelet, in July 2025 for an undisclosed amount. Bee bracelets use artificial intelligence and microphones to record, transcribe and analyse conversations. The newly announced devices extend those functions to a wearable with upgraded microphones and a phone-mounted option.
