CTV News Edmonton has reported:

The 52nd Canadian Finals Rodeo drew 43,903 guests to Rogers Place during six days of western sport and culture, from last Wednesday through Saturday night. Explore Edmonton organizers said attendance was higher than the roughly 40,000 guests recorded last year. Competitors included athletes on two and four legs.

The economic impact figure for this year was not yet available. Last year’s event filled 18,000 hotel rooms and generated nearly $33 million in economic growth for Edmonton. This year, 120 volunteers aged 15 to 85 supported the rodeo, while 40 local businesses offered western-themed menu items and specials.

Seven Albertan athletes took top prizes across the rodeo’s 12 events. The source text refers to a full list of champions but does not provide the names or event results. The rodeo has drawn guests since 1974 and was held largely in Edmonton, with a brief stint in Red Deer after signing a 10-year contract in 2018.

The event was cancelled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic and returned to Edmonton in 2024. Next year’s rodeo will again be held in the city. Explore Edmonton said dates and tickets would be announced “at a later date.”
