Phys.org has reported:
Physicists at the University of Oxford’s Department of Physics used a hybrid quantum computer to observe the Aharonov-Bohm effect in a quantum simulation. The computer combines qubits and quantum oscillators.
The effect occurs when a particle gains a measurable phase while travelling around a magnetic flux, despite never passing through a region containing a magnetic field.
