CTV News Edmonton has reported:

A 30-year-old Bonnyville resident faces 18 charges after allegedly shooting at another driver while racing through Mundare and fleeing police on Sept. 29. RCMP said a Ford F-350 and a GMC Sierra were reported racing through the town at about 7:19 p.m., with a person in the Ford firing shots.

Multiple RCMP and police detachments responded, including two canine units and the Edmonton Police Service’s Air1 helicopter. Air1 located the Ford, and officers on the ground tried to stop it, but the driver fled into a rural area, RCMP said in a Friday media release. The driver was later stopped without incident. No officers or members of the public were reported injured.

The man faces 18 charges. He was remanded into custody and was scheduled to appear Monday in the Alberta Court of Justice in Vegreville. The source did not specify the individual charges.
