Phys.org has reported:

Researchers led by Tampere University have developed a lensless imaging method that produces precise quantitative data on living cells from a single image. The compact system fits inside a standard cell-culture incubator, enabling continuous monitoring for hours or even days without staining or other labels.

The study was published in the journal Applied Physics Letters.
