Phys.org has reported:

Physicists have found evidence of a particle decay expected to occur only about once for every 10 billion beauty particles. The result comes from the upgraded LHCb experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider.

The finding follows a search that has lasted more than 40 years. It brings researchers closer to investigating the “Zeptoverse,” an unexplored realm at distances of a billionth of a trillionth of a metre, or one zeptometre, where new particles and forces of nature may be concealed.
